VLADIMÍR STANĚK

Vladimír Staněk is a designer, illustrator and graphic artist. He studied fashion design at the Academy of Arts, Architecture and Design in Prague and interior architecture at the Rhode Island School of Design in Providence (USA), as well as graphic design at the University of Arts in London. In 2011, the Museum of Decorative Arts in Prague bought his master’s collection of clothing to be included in its collections. He has successfully worked and created under his own brand name Stinak since 2010. In 2015, the Forbes magazine included him for his work in the prestigious list of the 30 most talented Czechs under 30 years of age.

He gained experience with Josef Ťapťuch, Rony Plesl, Daniel Libeskind, Tom Ford and between 2012 and 2017, he served as the head designer of men’s collections at Pietro Filipi ( the biggest czech fashion brand). His appointment to this position brought about a significant qualitative transformation in the brand’s production. Under his leadership, the company presented a series of well-designed collections that combined progressive gestures with references to tradition. During that time, his models were regularly showcased at fashion weeks in the Czech Republic and abroad. He has also presented his designs at Milan Design Week and Designblok in Prague.

Staněk’s designs have appeared in many acclaimed domestic and foreign media such as on the pages of Vogue, ELLE, Harper’s Bazaar, Esquire, InStyle, Dolce Vita, and French Fashion TV. Moreover, celebrities such as actors Hugh Jackman, Orlando Bloom, Caleb Landry Jones, the Hádek brothers, Ondřej Gregor Brzobohatý, and Marek Taclík, as well as singer Adam Mišík, rapper Rytmus, tennis player Tomáš Berdych, hockey player Patrik Eliáš, economist Tomáš Sedláček, top model Lily Cole, and actresses Kristen Stewart and Klára Issová, singers Tereza Kerndlová, Lucie Vondáčková, Kate Matl, Markéta Jakšlová, and TV presenters Ina Puhajková and Linda Bartošová and many others have worn his models.

Since 2017, he has regularly collaborated with the Czech jewelry manufacturer ALO Diamonds as a creative curator for exclusive jewelry collections. As a designer, he co-operated with companies such as GRUND and the automotive concern KIA.

He designs corporate uniforms for companies such as Prague City Tourism, Vodafone, T-Mobile, PPF, Iveta Fabešová, and many others.

Vladimír Staněk has received numerous awards for his work, including the National Student Design Award and the Triumph Inspiration Award. He was also nominated for the Czech Grand Design award with his collection “Searching for Love.”
